GHANA VETERANS ASSOCIATION was formed on June 19th 1996. The Association is a not- for- profit association. The main aim of the Association is to foster social and economic welfare of all members.
The Association began with 14 members and now has grown in numbers with due paying membership of 130. The Association was inaugurated on July 24th 2004.
The Association as our motto stands has been able to send home to Ghana, 2 members who came here and unfortunately couldn’t enjoy their American DREAM due to illness. We have also stand by our brothers and sisters whose family passed or got sick with visits, monetary donations and words of encouragement. The Association meets once in a month to discuss matters about welfare and any news pertaining to membership.
Due to our growing membership, our brothers and sisters residing in NJ are currently organizing a monthly meeting there deriving their matters to be discussed from NY. Membership in NJ has risen to 45 and growing.
GVA was inducted into the National Council of Ghanaian Association in 2006.

* Monthly meetings are scheduled on the second Sunday of every month.
